Given the sensitivity of the data handled by the AssiX Lifecycle Management system a strong user authentication process is in place: To login on AssiX you need to be a registered user and have a user authentication certificate. The certificate has been given to you with your AssiX license and it is stored in the AssiX security key. A security driver needs to be installed for recognizing the user certificate stored in the key. This security driver can be downloaded/executed from After installing the security driver, the AssiX security key needs to be inserted in a usb port of your computer. These instructions will work for Internet Explorer browsers. You can now proceed and login into the AssiX system by clicking on the menu option: |

An extra step is required in order to login into AssiX from a Mozilla-compatible browser like FireFox. This involves making the security driver known to the browser program: Install the security driver as per the previous above. Now open your browser program and follow this steps: • Click on the menu "Extras" -> "Settings..." • Choose "Advanced" on the top pane. • Click on "Security Devices" • Click on the "Load" button. • For the Module name enter: "AssiX-eToken" • For the module filename, browse to %WINDIR%\SYSTEM32\eTpkcs11.dll • Click on the "OK" button. • Click "OK" to close the "Security Devices Manager" window. • Click "OK" to close the "Settings" window. • Attach the AssiX security key in a free USB port. • Close and restart FireFox. • When opening the AssiX website the password for the AssiX security key will be required. |
